What would…

… you do if you ever came to power? This was one of the topics the Wolf and I choose to pass the time. And it was not a complete waste of time, actualy. We came up with some rather “creative” solution for the problems we face each day we live in this country.

When I come to power, I’m gonna take the whole justice system up a notch. But before that I will have to proclaim myself king of Romania, so that my rule will be absolute. We don’t want them goody goody two-shoes butting in and spoiling things for me. What i had in mind involves the punishments given out on penal trials. When I become king of this land, all and any who dare brake the penal code, shall be sentenced to forced labor (sounds better than “slavery”). I believe most would think twice before breaking the law if they knew they could be cutting hundreds of acres of wheat by hand. I would especially focus all this sudden uprising of free workforce to the fields… this country has so much agronomical potential, but it is so poorly exploited.

The thing is that prisons don’t work. They don’t teach any real lessons to felons. And on top of that, it is just counter-productive. What… you rape and murder and in return you get free shelter and food for the rest of your life, with the only downside of not being free? No, that won’t do. You need to feel pain equal to that which you dished out. So what if “an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind”. I do not care… I would not show clemency.

Call me cruel, call me ignorant, call me childish or whatever…… just pray I never ascend to power, cause I would wreak havoc in this rotten society of ours.

So I ask you, what would you do, should you ever come to power?
